On Friday, December 12, 2014, a deadly landslide struck off the mountainous area of Banjarnegara District in Central Java, Indonesia.  Heavy rains triggered a huge landslide of mud, rocks and trees that wiped out over 100 houses in and near Sampang Village and displaced more than 500 people. The Jakarta Globe reported at least 83 people dead.  Actual figures are likely to grow higher.

CERDAS Foundation and Indonesia Diaspora Foundation (IDF) are mobilizing efforts to provide support and relief to those impacted by the disasters. CERDAS & IDF are collaborating with Indonesian-based humanitarian organizations with access to the affected areas to bring timely and effective relief to the victims.

This is an active project. We are accepting donations until Wednesday, December 31, 2014. Please send your contribution today. Every little bit helps.
