IDF Educates Young Global Leaders for the 21st Century
Silicon Valley, California (PRWEB) March 27, 2013 Indonesian Diaspora Foundation (IDF), a nonprofit organization focusing on empowering Indonesian diaspora worldwide, in collaboration with the International Association of Indonesian Scholars Association (I-4) and the International Indonesian Students Radio (Radio PPI Dunia), today announced that Sonita Lontoh, chairman of IDF, will speak at an e-symposium on April 7, 2013. The e-symposium will educate young global leaders on key areas of interest, including 21st century Smart Technology Transformation, the intersection of technology, business and policy, and lessons learned from Silicon Valley in creating a strong ecosystem that fosters the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship. Lontoh is a Global Emerging Leader under 40 with diverse leadership experience at Fortune 200 companies, top-tier management consulting firm, and venture-backed Silicon Valley technology start-ups. Internationally-recognized as a green technology and women leadership advocate, she is a frequent speaker/contributor to publications such as Forbes, MIT Entrepreneurship Review and the Huffington Post. Outside of work, Lontoh is an active leader in several nonprofit and professional organizations, including the TechWomen program. TechWomen is an initiative of the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA). Under former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s leadership, the United States has engaged in “smart power diplomacy,” thereby utilizing every asset at the United States’ disposal to create opportunities for greater understanding.
