Indonesian Charity Night A Success - $16,000 for the Indonesian Red Cross
Indonesians living in Houston, Texas, got to end their cravings of rendang, nasi goreng, sate and soto on March 1, 2014. The Indonesian community, Indonesian Diaspora Foundation (IDF) and the Indonesian Consulate co-hosted "Indonesian Charity Night" - resulting in a $16,000 donation for IDF's Disaster Relief Campaign. 
Many volunteers helped us conduct different fundraising activities. We collected a total of $16,146. This includes donations from Voice of Indonesia in Florida – VIDA who contributed despite not joining us in-person. IDF is partnering with the Indonesian Red Cross on this special donation campaign and will benefit the Red Cross' relief missions in Medano, Gunung Sinabung, Gunung Kelud, and Pantura.
